Grease in EBB
The eccentric bottom bracket system used on VWR is an “expansion” type. The BB shell on the frame is not slit like they used to be. It has sliding wedges, operated by a 5mm hex key. In order for it to function properly and indefinitely there should be a film of grease on the wedge sliding flats and also on the entire inside surface of the frame shell. On a new bike it is wise to check this.
